Russia
Russia is a large country but the entire eastern 2/3 of the country is called Siberia. This area, in particular, in the north is cold and has little liveable areas.
Siberia makes up the Asian portion of Russia. The western portion of Russia which is the European portion, is where much of the Russian population lives and works. The major cities are found in the western portion instead of Siberia.
