Trichloroethylene (TCE) is primarily used in the process of manufacturing metal parts which is responsible for about 80% consumption. Specifically, it is used for vapour degreasing and cold cleaning of metal. It can be used as a solvent for the removal of oils and tars. This liquid has a low boiling point which permits cleaning with low heat input.
