Introduced in 1983, the Apple Lisa was the first successful personal computer that used a graphical user interface (GUI). The computer was released on January 19, 1983 and LISA stands for for “Local Integrated Software Architecture”. Lisa changed the way users used computers, they did not had to type text commands on the keyboard anymore.
