as you can see in the picture, the "near arc" is x°, and the "far arc", is the leftover from subtracting the arc of 120° and x°, therefore then

[tex]\bf 44=\cfrac{\stackrel{far~arc}{(360-x-120)~~-~~\stackrel{near~arc}{x}}}{2}\implies 88=240-2x \\\\\\ 2x=152\implies x=\cfrac{152}{2}\implies x=76[/tex]
