The answer is A, true. 

Fungal cells have cell walls which are made out of chitin, unlike plant cells, their cell walls are made up of cellulose. 

Other reasons that why fungi are not classified as plants include that because they have no chloroplast, instead they feed on dead organic matters. Another reason is that they store carbohydrates in form of glycogen, instead of plants which store carbohydrates as starch instead.
