• Mother cell and daughter cell are different.
• Mother cell has a thick stalk that sticks to a rock, while the daughter cell has a flagellum that allows it to move to other places.
o Once the daughter cell reaches a new home, it will trade its flagellum for a stalk and become a mother cell
