6x+34 = 8x+14
2x = 20
x = 10

opposite angle equal each other so you have:

6x+34 = 8x +14

subtract 14 from each side:

6x+20  = 8x

subtract 6x from each side

20 =2x

divide both sides by 2

x = 20/2

x = 10
