Aaron Beck proposed that many forms of abnormal behavior can be traced to cognitive factors.Abnormal behavior may be defined as behavior that is disturbing (socially unacceptable), distressing and often the result of distorted thoughts (cognitions). People engage in abnormal behavior because of particular thoughts and behaviors that are often based upon their false assumptions. So they have cognitive factors and they can be easily cured by Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
