Answer: D, (2x + 2)(x + 1)

You can immediately eliminate A and C, since they would produce the constants 4 and 1, respectively when the constant we need is 2.

(2x + 2)(x + 1) simplifies to 2x^2 + 2x + 2x + 2, or 2x^2 + 4x + 2.
