Contagious yawning. Contagious yawning or others may call it empathetically yawn is yawn triggered by others yawning. It is also a response to others seeing, hearing or just a thought of yawning. Contagious yawning decreases with age, and is usually associated to exhaustion, boredom and hunger. It is also noted that autistic people have less yawning frequency.
