we have: SM = TM

So: 2x + 3 = 4x - 7

=> 2x - 4x = -7 - 3

=> - 2x = - 10

=> x = (-10) / (-2) = 5

=> SM = 2 × 5 + 3 = 10 + 3 = 13

Answer: 13
