If I were to guess I’d assume it’s because hunting was most likely considered very good and difficult (due to their primitive conditions)
Plus, who would want to pain a picture of just grass or the people that stuff ain’t as cool
Though I do believe that modern self reflection took a lot of time to fully understand and diagnose (portrait painting for example)
