The device which provides any piece of information from a computer into human-readable form is known as the Output device. Monitor, Speakers, Headphones etc are examples of Output devices.
An input device is one which is used to pass on information to the computer. Of the choices given above, the monitor is used to receive information from the computer, hence why it is an output device.
