Under the leadership of Lucretia Mott and Elizabet Cady Stanton, the high point of the Seneca Falls convention was the drafting of the Declaration of Sentiments. This happened in 1848, and was one of the first steps towards gaining equal rights for men and women. These feminists fought to provide their fellow women with the rights they deserved.
