It is necesary so that scientist can study the universe and space because it will give more information on the earth and space, if there is any other thins out there or if there are meteors.
Answer: I think it is necessary because without it we wouldn’t know what was out in space nor would we know what was heading towards our planet to prepare for any disasters. We need to know what dangerous and not dangerous things there are out in space.
