They prey on the fact that people are stressed and looking for an outlet and the manipulatively comfort them. The people become comforted with these ideas of perfection (which are actually terroristic theories and plans), and they join the cause because it helped them feel better in the time. They are unaware that they are being brainwashed into hurting their fellow humans.
