Physical characterics are properties that describe how the object looks, feels, tastes, etc. They are descriptions of what it is. Physical characterics of matter include it's mass, weight, volume, and destiny. It also specifially describes it's odor, shape, texture, and hardness. In addition, physical properties describe wheather the object is solid, a liquid, or a gas. It's phase of matter at room tempature.
