Explanation: so f(g(-1)) basically means f of g of -1. so we plug in -1 for x in g(x) and that equals 2(-1) + 5. so g(x) = 3. now we have f(3) because it’s f(g(-1)). f(3) = 1 - 3^2, which equals -8.
