Scattering is the process in which electromagnetic radiation or particles are deflected or diffused. Reflections is the bouncing of light , heat or sound without absorbing it. Refraction is the bending of wave when it enters a medium where its speed is different. Transmission is the movement of electromagnetic waves through a material. Diffraction is the spreading out of waves as a result of passing through narrow aperture or cross edge.
