Length = 5x + 17
Width = 3x + 24

Perimeter = 2L + 2W
114 = 2(5x+17) + 2(3x+24)
114 = 10x + 34 + 6x + 48
114 = 16x + 82
114 - 82 = 16x
32 = 16x
32/16 = x
2 = x


Length = 5x + 17 = 5(2) + 17 = 10 + 17 = 27
