It's most likely referring to Spirit. But I could be Word as well depending on the context. It's definitely not Pages.

My final answer would be Spirit.

The SPIRIT enlightens us because it wouldn't really make sense if the pages or words enlighten us lol i only choosed what made sense to me but i hope this helps :)
