Tyra has $46 and Dara has $20. They each donate 8% of what they have to a relief agency. How much more does Tyra donate than Dara?

Each donates 8%

Tyra  has $46, so he donates = 8% of 46 = 0.08 * 46 = $3.68

Dara  has $20, so he donates = 8% of 20 = 0.08 * 20 = $1.60

Tyra donates more by:  $3.68 - $1.60 = $2.08
